Andrew Bowen

Northwestern University Physics & Astronomy

I am originally from Cherry Hill, New Jersey. This past June (2020) I graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor's degree majoring in physics (astornomy concentration) and a minor in italian. While at Northwestern, I performed undergraduate astronomy research under the guidance of Dr. Aaron Geller focusing on eclipsing binary stars.

As of July 2020, I live in New York City teaching science for Success Academies Charter Schools! I have always loved science outreach and teaching is one of the best ways to encourage future generations of scientists.

In addition to my passion for science and science outreach, I have some other hobbies. You can find me running, reading a history book, or practicing the guitar!
